Platforms and the Practice of Installers in the Energy Transition

Design & Publics participates in a Erasmus University Vital Cities and Citizens-funded research project called Digital inclusion of small firms in urban energy transitions. We support researchers affiliated with the Erasmus University’s International Institute of Social Studies, the Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity initiative and the International Centre for Frugal Innovation in performing co-creative future studies and scenario planning exercises in order to support installers and municipalities to investigate relevant ways to deploy platforms to address challenges of:

• Retrofitting existing building stock to meet energy transition ambitions
• Energy poverty
• Shortage of installers
